Capcom has announced the highly anticipated expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, titled Sunbreak. The expansion will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30th, 2023, and will introduce a plethora of new content to the game.
Sunbreak takes place shortly after the events of Monster Hunter Rise, as players are called upon to investigate a series of strange events occurring in the Citadel. Players will embark on a journey to the Citadel, a new locale inspired by medieval Europe, where they will encounter new monsters, explore new environments, and discover the secrets of the expansion's story.
The expansion will feature a roster of new monsters, including the fearsome Bloodbath Diablos, the enigmatic Aurora Somnacanth, and the majestic Malzeno. New gameplay features will also be introduced, such as the Switch Skill Swap system, which allows players to seamlessly switch between different skill sets during combat, and the Wyvern Riding system, which allows players to mount and control certain monsters.
In addition to the new monsters and gameplay features, Sunbreak will also introduce new locations to explore, including the Citadel and the Flooded Forest. The expansion will also feature a new quest rank, Master Rank, which will provide players with more challenging hunts and rewards.
